Ah, the northern side of Okanagan Lake by Sea-Doo! That’s where the wild beauty truly meets exhilarating freedom. Here’s the experience you can expect:

As you launch your Sea-Doo, the open water beckons. You’ll feel the immediate thrill of speed as you zip across the lake’s vast surface, the wind in your hair and the sun on your face. The northwestern side offers less boat traffic than the central Kelowna areas, giving you more space to open up the throttle, carve exhilarating turns, and truly embrace the power of your machine.

One of the highlights is cruising along the base of the rugged bluffs and cliffs that plunge directly into the lake. These ancient rock formations tell tales of glacial carvings, and the sheer scale is awe-inspiring. You’ll discover numerous hidden coves and pristine, often pebbly beaches tucked away, where no car can reach, a perfect moment of tranquil escape.

As you navigate, keep an eye out for majestic lakeside wineries in the Vernon arm. just past that, perched on the terraced hillsides, are resorts like Sparkling  hills and Outback, creating a stunning backdrop against the blue water. The contrast between the vibrant green of the land and the deep blue of the lake is truly picturesque, offering fantastic photo opportunities.

Further north, as you approach the Head of the lake area, the shoreline becomes a mix of charming residential areas and more natural, untouched sections. You might spot local wildlife – perhaps an osprey diving for fish, or deer grazing near the shore in quieter spots. For those with an adventurous spirit, the mythical Ogopogo is said to make its home in the deeper parts of Okanagan Lake, and the north side, particularly near Squally Point, is one of its fabled haunts. While a sighting isn’t guaranteed, the legend certainly adds an extra layer of mystery to your exploration!
